happy easter!
our easter was great. we got to spend it with the ward at church watching the woman's broadcast! my comp and i have been watching Bible videos of Jeuss Christ's life during meal times, too, and the Resurrection came to life for us this Easter. the gospel is so true. love it,
yesterday we decided to hit the streets a little earlier than normal and do some studies later.
and WE MET THE MOST AMAZING INDONESIAN!!! she kept thanking us, we kept thanking her, we were all thanking the Lord. this woman, Lina, was lost, searching for truth, and the Lord led us to find her. We invited her to baptism on the street and she was so surprised and excited to know that SHE has this opportunity to start her life in Christ. Sister Anderson said to me earlier that day, "let's just have expectations like we're in Brazil!" just as a joke, and look what happened. ;)
But it was incredible sharing with her that she truly can start over in Christ! we are so happy and blessed the Lord led us to Lina. she will be taught by the international missionaries here.
so much happened this week! cool story, a few weeks ago, we met a woman pushing a huge cart of stuff. we approached her, but she kept saying, 'no need. no need. no need!" finally she said, 'okay. here's my number. goodbye.' well, we called her. she answered. we slowly over time, would call her occasionally and just chat. we scheduled her for 3 weeks away. saturday night we saw her. she came in a beautiful white dress and said, 'i have to dress nice to go to church, right?' and shared with her the Restoration. Michelle soaked it all up! she loved it! we invited her to baptism and she said, 'i want to know. but i will come to church first and pray first and then answer your question.' love that answer. loooooove that answer.
diligence, patience, and persistance. it works. D&C 121 is true.
i also got called out BIG time at a members house for eating healthy. a member gave me a piece of cake and i took a few bites like normal and then pulled my 'ai-wo, eat explode!' comment and be good to go. but, because the elders here were in the MTC with me and i live with the mandarin sisters, EVERYONE called me out and i was soo embarrassed! i ended up eating 2 pieces of cake to show everyone that i love the food they give me. goodbye healthy days. haha but hey, i guess it's part of the forget yourself and go to work part, right? haha.
Bobo is amazing. she is having problems with faith right now, because she said her faith isnt as strong as Joseph Smith's. WELCOME TO THE CLUB. haha. but, because we go through trials like that, we were able to be the Lord's instruments and help our dear Bobo. keep praying for her! i love her so much!
my planner. want to know waht we do? this was an extremelly busy day for us. love it!
oh yeah! this pineapple is only 10 HKD, so like... 2.5 american dollars? it was perfect. helloooo summer. hello humidity. woo! ga yauh!
the river we run next too every day! only about 20 mins, but the humidity makes us sweat more and feel like we ran even longer and harder ;)
I love you all! Happy Easter! we are so grateful to be able to remember Him every day by remembering our baptismal covenants.
I love this gospel. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know He understands us; every one of us, and through Him, we can overcome our weaknesses. We can truly change. I know this because He is changing me. I love you!
