"We watched conference this weekend!!" April 12, 2015

hi!!!

we watched conference this weekend. amazing!!

and guess what... BOBO PASSED HER BAPTISMAL INTERVIEW!!!! she still hadn't told her parents about baptism. but last week, after praying a lot, she finally did. they not only DIDN'T object, but, after that, her and her mom had a great, conversation, about other things in life. this was a huge answer and blessing to her prayers and her commitments to follow God, because her relationship with her parents has always been pretty poor. She never knew how to talk to them. and right after she develops the faith to tell them she's getting baptized, God immediately blesses her. incredible.

she loved conference, too. i love. her. SO much. honestly, i will always, always care for Bobo Ng. she is amazing and the most selfless person I know! it's incredible seeing how fast she changed under the guidance of the Lord. and it's all because she had the desire and faith to do so.

We went knocking on doors this week! the first door we knocked on, a Malaysian woman answered. she asked if we want to come in! cooooool!!!!!!! so we went in, and taught her a very basic Restoration. it was amazing. we were teaching in english. her little 9 month baby boy woke up and we played with him, too. we taught her how to pray. at the end, we asked her how she feels, and she just cried. this woman, Nancy, is a super spunky, energetic, young mom...and she cried. she kept apologizing, and she didnt know why she was 'sad'. we testified of the power of the spirit and God's love for us. we will go back to her home in just one hour! :) i love this perfect Gospel.

I don't have as much time to write this week because I was looooving all the million pics Mom sent of my cousins and Ty on the cruise! and mom and dad! haha my family is SO cool.

i hope you know i thought of you a LOT during conference. i pray for you, study for you, and ponder about you. i love you all so much, and I know Heavenly Father loves you. you all mean the world to me.

Love, Sister Bosler

and.... right after Bobo's baptismal interview. we gave her this picture of our Savior. how precious is this??!

at Bobo Leung and her family's home :) This woman is a member and her husband isnt. great time with them!

some awesome salsa i made because of my diecer!!!
sister Wu loves the dicer! (can I PLEASE GO TO TAIWAN?! she's my favoirte person in the whole wide world.)

Pictures from HOME: We took the 6-pack 14-year-old cousins on a Caribbean cruise for Easter Break - funnest week ever.

We are at the final show of Dancing with the Stars right now! Bruce is back stage dying. Lol!! We all came early to get the best seats and cheer our guts out for Bruce who is dancing with a darling professional as his partner.

I'll send our St Thomas day and Half Moon Cay later - maybe tomorrow since we'll be there for 8 hours (Skyler has to have expedited checkout and 7:30 AM and it's mandatory that we go with him- it's all good though!)

Man I am going to miss these kids SO MUCH!!! This has been one of the FUNNEST weeks of my life.

By the way Derick, you don't have to worry about the kids meeting people...EVERYONE on this ship knows them. Haha. And we are the very proud "parents" receiving so many complements on your amazing teenagers!

From Karli: i cant even get over how awesome they are.. can i hang out with them too please??

This picture from Mindi is my favorite. The kids are so excited to fly to FL and had no idea what was about to occur...cancelled flight, agents telling them they couldn't fly without parental supervision, rude people, and super nice people, and then a total MIRACLE!! That they all got here in the knick of time!!! They really have a great story for life.

At dinner the girls were all saying that Sam was really brave and they were SO glad he was with them as their protector. 😊😊
(Especially when a creep was following them, and when they were told their flight was cancelled and they wanted to leave the gate and he said, "NO! Stay right here! We are NOT leaving until we get on another plane!!")

Anyway, I told the kids this picture symbolizes our excitement in the pre-earth existence to come down to earth. We have no idea what's in store but if we hang in there, through all the tears, and all the prayers, we have angels assisting us and miracles happen!!! We can all make it together!!

From Karli: hhahahah i am laughing so hard. oh gosh i love our family!! they are so awesome! hahahah too too funny. haha icant imagine the story!!! LOL!

Kids watching conference in the cruise cabin. From Karli: and the conference pics.... YESSSS!!!! haha those are the GREATEST!!! haha loooove it!!!! ;)
they are so cool. so many missionaries here never watched conference when they were younger. so they are already ahead of the game!!

To Karli: Bishop Jimmy Chans family came to visit!!!  What an amazing family. I felt the spirit SO strong the entire time so much that I wanted to just pack up and move to HONG KONG.  They are the most wonderful people. And Jo gave me this little purse that fits my four favorite Doterra oils in it for my purse.

I am going to write more in my next email with more pictures. I LOVE YOU, mom PS Lunch at BJ's. My gosh they love you so much and said that the whole mission has never been the same since you left but everybody is trying very hard. You have such a loving way and bring so much energy, kindness, love, and joy to the mission it's just incredible! I am so proud of you Karli!!

From Karli: oh whatever!!!! they are so cute but yeah right. haha love them. they have KILLER elders right now. they are too funny. i cried when i saw the deaf section signing at conference! miss that ward.

I LOVE THEM AND YOU!!!!

Happy Easter! April 5, 2015

halooo!! :)

happy easter!

our easter was great. we got to spend it with the ward at church watching the woman's broadcast! my comp and i have been watching Bible videos of Jeuss Christ's life during meal times, too, and the Resurrection came to life for us this Easter. the gospel is so true. love it,

yesterday we decided to hit the streets a little earlier than normal and do some studies later.

and WE MET THE MOST AMAZING INDONESIAN!!! she kept thanking us, we kept thanking her, we were all thanking the Lord. this woman, Lina, was lost, searching for truth, and the Lord led us to find her. We invited her to baptism on the street and she was so surprised and excited to know that SHE has this opportunity to start her life in Christ. Sister Anderson said to me earlier that day, "let's just have expectations like we're in Brazil!" just as a joke, and look what happened. ;)
But it was incredible sharing with her that she truly can start over in Christ! we are so happy and blessed the Lord led us to Lina. she will be taught by the international missionaries here.

so much happened this week! cool story, a few weeks ago, we met a woman pushing a huge cart of stuff. we approached her, but she kept saying, 'no need. no need. no need!" finally she said, 'okay. here's my number. goodbye.' well, we called her. she answered. we slowly over time, would call her occasionally and just chat. we scheduled her for 3 weeks away. saturday night we saw her. she came in a beautiful white dress and said, 'i have to dress nice to go to church, right?' and shared with her the Restoration. Michelle soaked it all up! she loved it! we invited her to baptism and she said, 'i want to know. but i will come to church first and pray first and then answer your question.' love that answer. loooooove that answer.
diligence, patience, and persistance. it works. D&C 121 is true.

i also got called out BIG time at a members house for eating healthy. a member gave me a piece of cake and i took a few bites like normal and then pulled my 'ai-wo, eat explode!' comment and be good to go. but, because the elders here were in the MTC with me and i live with the mandarin sisters, EVERYONE called me out and i was soo embarrassed! i ended up eating 2 pieces of cake to show everyone that i love the food they give me. goodbye healthy days. haha but hey, i guess it's part of the forget yourself and go to work part, right? haha.

Bobo is amazing. she is having  problems with faith right now, because she said her faith isnt as strong as Joseph Smith's. WELCOME TO THE CLUB. haha. but, because we go through trials like that, we were able to be the Lord's instruments and help our dear Bobo. keep praying for her! i love her so much!

my planner. want to know waht we do? this was an extremelly busy day for us. love it!
oh yeah! this pineapple is only 10 HKD, so like... 2.5 american dollars? it was perfect. helloooo summer. hello humidity. woo! ga yauh!
the river we run next too every day! only about 20 mins, but the humidity makes us sweat more and feel like we ran even longer and harder ;)

I love you all! Happy Easter! we are so grateful to be able to remember Him every day by remembering our baptismal covenants.

I love this gospel. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know He understands us; every one of us, and through Him, we can overcome our weaknesses. We can truly change. I know this because He is changing me. I love you!

Love, Sister Bosler

"redefine your best." March 30, 2015

HIIIIII!!!!!

oh. my. goodness. just went to the mission office and my companion had a package from her birthday (woo!) aaaaaand, i had packages from YOU!!! and a letter from TYLER!! !Oh my gosh, i laughed so hard, cried, died--  Tyler you are the coolest guy ever. why was I not ever like you at age 14?
i canNOT believe what you sent me, mom!!! seriously. thank you so much. really, you spoil me so much. i really don't deserve any of that and it probably causes you so much stress to get it out on friday's before the post office closes ;) haha i can totally imagine the scene of you trying to get these packages out on time... you are so nice. so busy, and you still send me things. ahhh thank you so much. we also didn't have time for lunch or dinner today but your package saved me for today. you're seriously the best... ahhh. love you.

and you are all going on a CRUISE with the cousins!? haha what! sounds so so fun!! :) have fun watching hours of conference on that cruise! ;) no seriously.... you better. eat lots of food for me.

well this week.... haha oh man, i have so many lessons to learn. it's so good.
but first, we have an investigator we got a few weeks ago named Big One. I just wanted you all to know that because her name is awesome. Big One! 18 years old. she's a cutie.

Bobo Ng-- We taught her about 100 commandments yesterday after church, and she stopped us and said, "i want to share my testimony about commandments..." you should've seen our faces. she's amazing. she used to drink tea, coffee, and she gave it all up right off the bat and is testifying of the blessings from it. when we willingly follow God's word, we receive so many blessings and become way better people! she's so awesome. she inspires me.

We had a music activity yesterday at church. me and some missionaries sang! a TON of our english class students came to support "white big sister". that's my name translated in english... i love china. Sister Anderson and I die every day pointing out different things we love about China.

At the music activity, a less active who is a return missionary from HK, a retired military officer and lives in a sweet house in the country came!!! YES! we visited him and his wife and they are awesome... just lost the faith. man it kills me! but, Sister Anderson did the coolest inspired thing and asked him to write his testimony in a plain copy of the BoM that we could give to someone on the street. he gave the book back to us at the activity and we asked him to read his testimony outloud. he talked about how God has sent missionaries to you (the person reading the book of mormon) and how inspired this is. at the close of his testimony, he looked up. and this over 6 foot retired military return missionary less active man was CRYING. and he took off fast. it was the coolest thing... he felt the spirit!!! one thing about the chinese, they don't like feeling the spirit. they always run away from it. but he felt it, and he can't deny it :) pray for Ho Kwong Wa and his wife Ho Sau Ying!

but, the greatest lessons I've learned this week have been from my companion, Sister Anderson. ahh she's the biggest blessing in my life. you guys, we are completely opposite. haha it's so great. right when we found out we were going to be companions, i was stoked because we are already awesome friends, and also, i knew i was going to learn A LOT. and oh i was so right. this was so inspired of the Lord! I love her so much. But what I've learned a lot is about the law of consecration. i've been working on that a lot for the past 6 months, trying to figure out how to sacrifice my time, talents to the lord. which is why i literally never, ever, rest. every second doing something. with Sister Richardson, we would cut our meals short when we finished eating and hit the streets. i would cut my prep time so i could do other things to sacrifice my time even more. but with Sister Anderson, i've learned the biggest lesson. i know this sounds silly, but it's possible to get too caught up in the work. my fear is that i want to do my best for the Lord. if i don't do my best, i feel awful. so i always, always do my best. but with my awesome companion, i've realized i need to redefine 'my best.'
my biggest convert on the mission must be myself, and then my companion. i've been praying a lot on how to help my companion, when Grandma's words always come back to me, "love your companion like a sister." the second most important convert on this mission is my companion, Sister Anderson.
The law of consecration is a hard, hard thing to live. it really comes to the point of turning outward and forgetting yourself. and i realized, i don't need to be praying about how to help my companion, but i need to let her help me. In times of trouble, the 'trouble' is usually yourself. it hurts to admit, huh? :) i need my companion's help sooo bad, she's the greatest. we are learning a lot together. she's helping me become a better person, missionary, and servant of the Lord.
let the Lord change you and let others help you change! take an evaluation on your life... are your priorities where they should be?
i love this work! we learn so much every day!

love you!

Love, Sister Bosler
